Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture an L-type caisson hull part used in a deep place and a T- type caisson hull part used in a shallow place from an old hull having longitudinal diaphragms at left and right hands thereby to make it possible to perform a marine construction efficiently and safely.
CONSTITUTION: The main hull part except the bow part and the stem part of the hull having left and right longitudinal diaphragms is divided into a substantially L-type caisson hull part 4 including a ship side outer plate 1, a lower half part 2a of the longitudinal diaphragm and a part 3 of the ship bottom outer plate and a substantially T-type caisson hull part 6 including a caisson hull part 4, a upper half part 2b of the longitudinal disphragm and a part 5 of the upper deck. The L-type caisson hull part 4 is installed on the mound 7 on the sea bottom as it is in the upright state, and filling earth 8 is applied. The T-type caisson hull part 6 is settled on the mound 7 on the sea bottom so that it is inverted and the filling earth 10 is applied.
