Abstract

PURPOSE: To mechanize and automate the indicating operation in an easy way, by displacing all the indicating elements in one direction and then displacing selected indicating elements in the other direction.
CONSTITUTION: A CRT, together with a carrying and keeping base 2 on which the CRT is placed, is transferred from a trolley conveyor 1 to a roller conveyor 28 by means of a transferring means 27 and is transported in the forward direction. The base 2 is stopped by a stopper 41 of a clearing means 38 and all the indicating elements are pushed up for clearing into the predetermined upper positions. Then, the indicating elements of the base are selectively pushed down by a setting means 51 in accordance with a command signal derived from a CRT-type information supplied to the input of a computer 64, so that the base 2 has an indication of the type of the CRT placed on it.
