Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sound-pressure frequency characteristics by forming an oxide film on a base material of aluminum as a diaphragm for a plane-deaphragm type speaker. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum plate rolled to an adequate thickness is used as diaphragm base material 1, and on the surface of this, aluminum oxide coating 2 is formed. This coating 2 hardens the surface of diaphragm base material 1, increasing its rigidity. A diaphragm provided with coating 2 on both sides of material 1 or either one eliminates a dip in sound-pressure frequency characteristics caused by soft aluminum, thereby improving the characteristics. Further, a speaker system with flat frequency characteristics can be obtained by using it as a plane diaphragm.
