PURPOSE:To make a piezoelectric vibrator thin and miniature by using the piezoelectric vibtator itself as part of a container. CONSTITUTION:Of a crystal thin plate, vibrator 2 is formed which has a frame part serving as a vibration part and part of a container. Then, the container of this vibrator consists of the frame part of vibrator 2, spacers 4 and 5, and covers 3 and 6. Spacers 4 and 5 made of glass are adhered to the frame part of vibtator 2 and to spacers 4 and 5, covers 3 and 6 made of glass are bonded for sealing. In this structure, a crystal and glass plate are used which can be made into a thin plate with relatively-high size accuracy, so that this vibrator can greatly be made thin and miniaturized. Besides this crystal vibrator, a vibrator using another piezoelectric body can also obtain the same effect.
