Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the inertia of moving portions during shutter operation by providing a front curtain winding gear and a rear curtain winding gear and an intermittently toothed gear which is coupled to drive these to a twin-axis type focal plane shutter.
CONSTITUTION: A front curtain winding gear 33 which is motionally integral with a shutter front curtain winding pipe 31, a rear curtain winding gear 43 which is motionally integral with a shutter rear curtain winding pipe 41, and an intermittently toothed gear 6 which has a toothless portion 6a of a fixed range and subsequently couples to drive the front curtain winding gear 33 and rear curtain winding gear 43 in this order by having the spacing corresponding to this toothless portion 6a at the winding, are provided. In the state where winding has completed, the winding power transmission mechanism is completely isolated from the front curtain mechanism and rear curtain mechanism at the ending of winding and therefore the inertia of the curtain mechanism becomes small and desirable shutter characteristics are obtained.
