Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the danger of an electric shock in a container using electrodes, such as an electrode-type humidifier and ionized water generator, in a mechanism wherein a solenoid is installed to permit the top lid to open only when the switch is turned off.
CONSTITUTION: A container 3 and a top lid 2 are provided, and a solenoid 12 is installed to either the container or the top lid. The movable rod 24 of the solenoid which is pulled by a spring 27 is allowed to engage with the hook hole 10, when the electrodes 7, 8 are energized to actuate the electromagnet to cause counter-force against the spring, making the top lid being prevented from opening. When current is off, the spring pulls the movable rod so that the top lid can be opened.
