Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily manufacture the granular dephosphorizer possible to greatly reduce the scattering and vaporization, by spraying the suspension prepared from the iron oxide and the solution including one kind or more of aqueous solution of soda ash or the aqueous solution of caustic soda, into the granulating bed of the fluidized bed type granulator-dryer, and by blasting the heating gas into the fluidized bed from the bottom. CONSTITUTION:The suspension is prepared from the iron oxide and either one or both of aqueous solution of soda ash and aqueous solution of caustic soda; in this suspension, the proportion of each constituent is specified as follows; iron oxide 40-75wt%, soda ash or caustic soda 25-60wt%. Particularly desirable proportion is iron oxide 40-75wt%, soda ash 20-45wt% and caustic soda 5-15wt%. This suspension is sprayed from upside of the fluidized bed type granulator-dryer into the fluidized bed of the dephosphorizer being previously built up on the destributor plate, and the heating gas is blasted from the bottom into the fluidized bed; hereby, the granular dephosphorizer with particle size 0.1-2.0mm and specific gravity 0.8- 1.8 is manufactured. This dephosphorizer can be continuously added little by littel to the molten iron depending on the blasting method.
