Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniformize in the lateral direction the permeability of the charging material, by installing level meters in front of the cutoff plate correspondingly to the split gate, and by taking the mean value of detecting level signals as the aim value.
CONSTITUTION: The level signals for the bulky zone produced from plural level meters 11 installed in front of the cutoff plate 6 are taken into the mean value operator 12 which then operates the mean value. This mean value is taken as the aim value; the deviation of each level signal from this aim value is operated by the control operator 13 which then produces a signal to the controller 14; the controller 14 actuates each split gate 7 according to this input so as to move vertically; hereby, the charging amount of the sintering admixture material 2 is regulated. According to this method, the bulk level of the charging zone is uniformized and hereby the permeability is controlled to constant, so that the quality of sintered ares is improved.
