CONSTITUTION:Under the state where disc 1 has not been yet mounted on turntable, disc stop 13 is protruded onto the outside circumference of turntable 2 from disc stopping unit 4 by spring 14, and switch 15 is turned off. Meanwhile, when disc 1 has been mounted on turntable 2, disc stop 13 is pressed into the center shaft 12 side from a disc hole, and switch 15 is turned on. The signal of this switch 15 is supplied to AND circuit 10, and the output of AND circuit 10 is turned on only when the switch 15 output signal as well as the reproducing start switch 11 output signal are turned on. As a result, when disc 1 has not been yet mounted, the output of circuit 10 is turned off, and the stylus does not descend, so that the damage of the stylus can be prevented.
