Abstract

PURPOSE: In water level indicators of such type that pressure is transferred through the gas as a medium, to minimize measuring errors by protecting water from enterring the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure senser 4 which measures the water pressure of the measured water level is provided at the top and the lower end part is connected with a measuring instrument 11 where its bottom is opened to the lowest end of a pipe 3 inserted up to the place of maximum depth of water measured in the measured water. The area of the pressure surface is greater than the sectional area of a pipe 3. Thereby, the height of water h' which enters the pipe decreases, the fluctuation of the water level reduces and measuring errors can be minimized.
