Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of external terminals to facilitate the integration of a circuit by performing clamp and standard pulse addition to a pedestal part on a basis of pulses different in polarity obtained by band-limiting bynchronizing signals of video signals.
CONSTITUTION: Sychronizing signals applied to the terminal 10 have the band limited by the integrating circuit 4 and the differentiating circuit 8 to generate positive and negative pulses, These pulses are applied to the comparators 15 and 14, where respective thresholds are set, to generate pulses different in timing. When pulses outputted from the comparator 15 are applied to the clamp circuits 2 and 7 as gate pulses, video signals are clamped; and when the output pulse of the comparator 15 is applied to the adder 13, a reference signal is added to the pedestal part. Consequently, two kinds of required pulse can be formed by using one common external terminal. As a result, the number of external terminals is reduced, and the integration of a recording circuit becomes easy.
