Abstract
PURPOSE: To reproduce excellent picture, by equivalent broad band at the receiver for the chrominance information delivered in narrow band, in color television broadcast.
CONSTITUTION: The high band component of the output of the luminance signal amplifiying circuit 4 of a television receiver is fed to the multiplier 82 via the high pass filter 81, to obtain the high band information with desired chrominance difference signal with multiplication of the three chrominance difference signals being the output of the matrix circuit 8 analogically. The broad band signal equivalent is obtained with analog addition between the output and that from the matrix circuit 8 at the adder 83, and the three primary chrominance signals are obtained by adding this signal to the primary chrominance signal reproduction circit 9 and it is fed to the receiving tube 10. Accordingly, since the chrominance difference signal is of narrow band, the changing speed of the luminance signal is faster than that of the chrominance difference signal, however, broad band can be achieved by giving the high band information of luminance signal to the chrominance difference signals.
