Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for the adjustment of white balance in a circuit-like shape, by arranging the width dimensions of three primary color phosphors, which are repeatedly disposed on an inner surface of a face plate in striped shapes, in shapes that the dimensions are made different so that white balance be formed.
CONSTITUTION: The centers of each three primary color phosphor R, G, B, which is disposed to an inner surface of a face plate 1 of a color cathode-ray tube in a striped shape, are held at fixed intervals by changing the dimensions of guard bands 2 in order to alter the width of the phosphors so that the width of the phosphor of green G, for exampoe, be made the smallest and the width of the phosphor of blue B, for example, be made the largest in the width of the three primary color phosphors. Thus, the adjustment of white balance in a circuit-like shape is unnecessary because this cathose-ray tube is prepared so that white balance beforehand be formed by tube itself, and consequently this device is extremely convenient.
