Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the construction and improve the efficiency by employing different kinds of material for the working fluid in the prime mover cycle and the refrigerant in the heater pump cycle while the prime mover and the compressor are housed in the same closed casing.
CONSTITUTION: In the refrigerating cycle operation, a refrigerant circulates through the route of a compressor 1, a four-way valve 12, an outdoor air heat exchanger 2, a check valve 13, a receiver 14, an expansion valve 3, an indoor heat exchanger 4, the four-way valve 12 and the compressor 1. The compressor 1 is driven by a prime mover 6 in the prime mover cycle. Here, for example, C8F16O is used for the working fluid in the prime mover cycle. In the heating operation, the fluid is fed to a preheater 20 of a boiler 5 with a pump 8 and the steam obtained here drives the prime mover 6. Exhaust steam from the prime mover 6 is cooled and condensed with an outdoor air condenser 7 (a load condenser 10 for heating) and returned to the receiver 19.
