Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a gas turbine system from accident by deciding the operation of an air purge device, if necessary locking a igniting device, when misfire occured in the combustor of a gas turbine engine.
CONSTITUTION: A compressor 12 and a generator 13 are axially connected to a gas turbine 11 in a line. A starter 15 is connected to the generator 13 through a clutch 14 for driving the turbine until the revolving rate of the turbine 11 exceeds a fixed rate. A combustor 16 connected to a fuel pipe provided with a fuel shutoff valve 18, and provided with a flame detector 17 for detecting misfire, is disposed between the turbine 11 and the compressor 12. When misfire occured in the combustor 16, the flame detector 17 send a signal to a controller, not shown, which controls the shutoff valve to close and the clutch 14 to be released.
