Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subject grinder wherein any flaw on a material to be ground is detected beforehand by a flaw detector, and the position of the flaw is memorized by the quantity of rotation of a detecting roll, rotating and shifting the materical to be ground in correspondence to the memorized value, thereby to grind and remove all flaws accurately by a grinder. CONSTITUTION:A truck 1 on which a material 19 to be ground is loaded is arranged in a space between to flaw detecting position 4 and a grinding position 5 in a position changeable and movable manner. Furthermore, on the flaw detecting position 4 and the grinding position 5 there are respectively provided locating devices which locate the aforedescribed track 1 at respective positions. The position of a flaw on said material 19 to be ground is detected by the quantity of rotation of a detecting roller 22 rotating in contact with the material 19 to be ground, and the detected value is memorized by a memory device. After memorizing the detected value in this manner, a drive roller is rotated by driving a motor to rotate the material 19 to be ground. When the quantity of the rotation coincides with the abov e described memorized value, the operation of the driving motor is stopped, and the flaw memorized on the material 19 to be ground is ground and removed.
