Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable efficient conveyance of a powder such as the removed developer in an electrophotographic device and to enable good convyance of the powder even in the case of a conveying passage where a powder intake port and a transfer port cannot be aligned on a roughly straight line.
CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic device of the transfer system is provided with a cleaning means near the top portion of a drumlike image carrier 1. The cleaning means conveys the removed developer on the image carrier 1 removed by a cleaning blade 3 to the side of the image carrier 1 by the actions of a guide plate 6 and a conveyor screw 8, and the developer is taken out to a developer storage portion 101 of a developing unit 10 through a duct 9.
