Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a dust collecting apparatus which can achieve effective filtering dust collecting work always in the state of small pressure loss and in which the particle size and kind of each filter medium and the descent speed of packed layer are freely adjustable depending on the object of dust collection.
CONSTITUTION: Each of dust collection chambers 4, 5 is filled with filter medium. When discharge means 12, 19, regeneration means 15, 12 and transfer means 17, 24 are operated, the filter medium within the dust collection chambers 4, 5 is discharged at a predetermined rate from the dischage means 12, 19. The filter medium is transferred from hoppers 13, 20 via connection means 14, 21 the regeneration means 15, 22 connection means 16, 23, the tranfer means 17, 24 and connection means 18, 25 to the upper parts of the dust collection chambers 4, 5 where the recycled filter medium descends at a predetermined speed. Meantime dust in gas is separated and caught by particulate filter medium forming packed layers 6, 7 in the dust collection chambers 4, 5, thereby the gas is cleaned.
