Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the time for preheating a preheating pulg and improve starting faculty by allowing an electric current more than 1.5 times of the rated current to flow in a heater.
CONSTITUTION: When a starter switch 2 is closed on starting an engine, a relay contact 10 is also closed, and an electric current flows from a battery 1 to each resitor 4, 5, 6 and the heater 31 of a preheating pulg 3. When the pulg 31 is heated sharply and the resistance value reaches a prescribed resistance value, a comparator 8 operates, and the output signal from the comparator 8 is transmitted to a starter relay 13 through an amplifier 12, and starts a starter 14. Coincidentally, the relay contact 10 is opened, and the conduction to the preheating plug 3 is performed through a resistor 11.
