Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent liquid knocking by providing a switch control valve on pipe lines connecting a compressor with a condenser and an evaporator. CONSTITUTION:On pipe lines 6 and 6' between a compressor 1 and a condenser 2 and pipe lines 7 and 7' between the compressor 1 and an evaporator 5, there is arranged a pressure-responding switch control valve 8 constructed by providing valves 20 and 21 equipped on both ends of a valve rod 19 in a valve main body 10 provided with the first and the second pressure operating chamber 15 and 17, the first and the second valve chest 16 and 18, and a safety valve 30, for operating in response to the suction and the discharge pressure of the compressor 1. In this construction, during the operation of a cooling system, pipe lines 6 and 6', and 7 and 7' are respectively connected through for giving a regular cooling effect. During the intermission of the operation, pipe lines 6 and 6', and 7 and 7' are respectively intercepted for checking flows of refrigerant in the cooling system, and the refrigerant is prevented from being concentrated and accumulated in the reservoir part of the evaporator 5, the compressor 1, and others in liquid state. Consequently, the compressor 1 is prevented from liquid knocking phenomenon at the starting time of the cooling system.
