Abstract

PURPOSE: To retain cylindrical body of any diameter with only one guide without damaging the surface thereof by means of a mechanism in which the body is retained with a roller mounted on an arm for retaining a cylindrical body in such a manner as to be free to rotate.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary members 2W4 are supported on a base having a hole A allowing cylindrical bodies to move and connected together by means of an adjusting arm 5 so as to form a triangle in shape. Arms for retaining cylindrical bodies mounted to respective rotary members are each provided rotatively with a retaining roller 6 while the base 1 is fitted with an adjusting fitting to tract with a tensile arm the tip of spring loading arms fixed on the rotary member assembly. A rotary drive motor 12 is arranged to drive a rotary member controlling roller 10 and a lever 11 for pressing the spring loading arm 7 against the spring 8. With such an arrangement, it is possible to retain a guide accurately without damaging the surface of the cylindrical bodies.
