Abstract

PURPOSE:To establish the automatic ghost rejection circuit in which the coefficient value is converged, by providing the reversible counter for integration between the positive and negative discrimination circuit for residual ghost and the coefficient value set circuit. CONSTITUTION:In the circuit which detects the polarity of the residual ghost in the video signal and controls the coefficient circuits 6A and 6B so that this can be zeroed, D-A multiplier is used as the coefficient circuits 6A and 6B, reversible counter is used as the coefficient value set circuits 14A and 14B. The discrimination pulse in which the sampled signals v1 and v2 are negative in the comparison circuits 13A and 13B is fed to the CU input of the reversible counter and the discrimination pulse being positive is fed to the CD input. The integration counters 16A and 16B are provided bwtween the comparison circuits 13A and 13B and the coefficient set circuits 14A and 14B and the vagueness of discrimination due to noise is made average at the integration counters 16A and 16B at the output of the comparison circuit every sampling time point.
