Abstract

PURPOSE:To make operation easy and prevent the occurrence of recording errors by providing an assigning means which assigns the sizes of recording members at the forming of variable power images and feeding the recording member from a containing means which contains the recording members of the assigned size into the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In the copying apparatus capable of forming life-size images and variable power images, plural containing means which contain transfer paper are provided and the size of the transfer paper to be used is assigned by a button 36 or 37 being a containing assignment means. The changeover of life-size copying and scaled-down copying is indicated as a switch is turned on by the opening and closing of the cover 39 of the scale-down operation part. The operation of opening the cover 39 becomes the changeover of the life size and scale-down simultaneously. When the improper transfer paper has been selected at the scale-down copying, the suited transfer paper is displayed by flickering of a lamp and therefore the user is able to obtain a correct copy simply by taking measure according to the instruction of the machine.
