Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the temperature of oil quickly when the engine is started at low temperature by communicating the changeover valve incorporated into the thermostat to the heated oil pot when oil temperature is low and by communicating it to the oil pan proper of large capacity when oil temperature is raised.
CONSTITUTION: The heated oil pot 3 that has an oil recovery plate 17 on its upper circumference is provided in the oil pan 1, oil in the oil pan is divided into the oil 14 in the pan proper and the one 15 in the pot.
