Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible automatic controlling of exposure time and achieve the effective utilization of the space in the camera by installing a common photo detecting part evacuatable from the photographic optical path between the finder mirror and film plane.
CONSTITUTION: A common photoelectric element P which is mounted on the front curtain 7 of a focal plane shutter is selectively connected to exposure measuring circuits A and B by a changeover switch S0. When speed information is applied to a variable resistance R0 and a release button is pushed, S' and S3 are closed to complete the circuit A and the circuit B shifts to a standby state. Hence, the pointer I of a galvanometer G is swung to the position which determines the specified aperture opening in response to the quantity of incident light to the element P. The pointer I is held by the succeeding push-down of the release button and when the release button is further pushed down, aperture blades 2 are stopped down as much as the aperture quantity by the pointer I. At the end period of the automatic aperture operation, the S0 is connected to the circuit B and the combined information of the subject luminance and opening value is stored in the circuit.
