Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow format, such as a rule and the like, to be freely printed, by locating support members, whose position can be freely adjusted and fastened, at an optional position in the horizontal direction of a paper, and also by situating writing tools, each one of which is supported by the individual support member.
CONSTITUTION: Support members 11, which can traverse in parallel to the traversing direction of a carriage 8, are supported at a shaft 10 of a holder plate 15 which is swingably supported at a support frame 9. Holders 13, where a writing tool 12 can be attached, are located so that they can move in the direction of an axial line of the support member 11. Vertical rules are drawn on a paper 2 in such a manner that inclines downward a holder plate 15 with a solenoid excited, brings the wirting tools 12 in a contact with the paper 2, and carries the paper by means of a platen 1. On the other hand, horizontal line can be drawn by tapping repeatedly a under- line sign key or minus sign key with a space pinch which is shorter than an ordinary one.
