Abstract
PURPOSE: The title resin composition useful as decoratings, electrical parts, etc., comprising an olefin resin, a metallic hydroxide or carbonate, a sulfur-containing substance, e.g. a vulcanizing agent, a vulcanization accelerator, and conductive carbon black.
CONSTITUTION: A composition prepared by kneading (A) 100 parts by wt. of an olefin resin, e.g. ethylene or propylene homo- or copolymer, with (B) 0.5W50 parts by wt. of a hydroxide and/or carbonate of a metal, e.g. Mg or Ca, of Group II in the periodic table, (C) 0.1W10 parts by wt. of at least one type of sulfur-containing substance selected from a sulfur vulcanizing agent, e.g. powdered sulfur of flower of sulfur, and a sulfur-releasing compound, e.g. tetramethylthiuram disulfide, (D) 0.05W10 parts by wt. of a vulcanization accelerator, e.g. 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, and (E) conductive carbon black in an amount to give a volume resistivity of the final composition ≤103Ω.cm.
