PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet type printer which eliminates local risings of the printing paper due to the density of the ink dropped on the paper by pulling the paper wound around the printing drum through many slits provided in the surface of the drum. CONSTITUTION:Many slits 3 are provided in the surface 2 of a printing drum 1 and a pulling chain bar 5 i arranged in the drum 1. A printing paper is wound around the drum surface 2. The drum 1 is to be driven to rotate by a motor 8. The chain bar 5 is fixed on a central stationary shaft 6 not to rotate with the drum 1 for pulling locally the paper while the paper is rotating. Ink drops from a printing head 9 on the printing paper which moves parallel to the drum shaft.
