Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the ferrite noise by precipitating and scattering the SnO2 phase on the magnetic path for reproduction, in the magnetic head constituting a part of the recording and reproducing magnetic path with the same magnetic substance piece consisting of single crystal ferrite.
CONSTITUTION: In the magnetic head consisting of the magnetic substance piece 1 of the same ferrite forming the recording core 6, reproduction core 7, recording operation gap 2 and reproduction operation gap 3 made of single crystal ferrite respectively, the SnO2 phase is precipitated and scattered with thermal treatment of Mn-Zn single crystal ferrite including Sn on the hatched part of the core 7 and the magnetic substance piece 1. The recording coil 4 and the reproduction coil 5 are wound on the cores 6 and 7 respectively. Thus, the recording magnetic path is constituted with a material of high saturation density and the reproducing magnetic path is of lower ferrite noise (slide noise). Since they are manufactured from the same magnetic substance piece, the manufacture is simpler. Further, the SnO2 phase can be precipitated and scattered only near the gap 3.
