Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively perform sure fixing irrespective of the quality of paper by effectively varying the temperature of the fixing part.
CONSTITUTION: Two copy switches 3-a, 3-b and the monostable multivibrator 20 of triger one-shot are provided and are connected to a reference voltage generating circuit 18. Then, when the copy switches 3-a, 3-b are selectively pushed according to the thickness of paper, the reference voltage corresponding to the thickness is applied from a reference voltage generating circuit 18 to a comparator 17, where it is compared with the output of a thermocouple 15, by which the temperature of the fixing part is correctly controlled according to the thickness. Upon lapse of a fixed time after ending of copying of thick paper, the reference voltage corresponding to the thin paper is applied to the comparator 17 by the operation of the monostable multivibrator 20, by which the AC supply of a heater 13 is controlled, thus the temperature of the fixing part is shifted to a low temperature state in a short time.
