Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize a high-performance parallel process by substituting the switch of the omega network with the microprocessor and also providing the arithmetic cotrol function to the switch itself.
CONSTITUTION: Eight units of basic processor 20 are provided along with 12 units of switching proessors 21W23, and all these processors 20W23 consist of the microprocessors. Te data flows in the order of processors 20→21→22→23→20, and all processors are operated at one time. And thus the pipe-line process becomes possible. As a result, the performance can be enhanced about four times.
