Abstract

PURPOSE: For a motor shaft output to be estimated on-line and in a highly reliable manner, detections are made on the motor for power frequency, power voltage, input current, and speed, and the detected values are used to calculate the motor shaft output.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material 3 is charged into the polymerization reactor 3 and agitated by the stirrer 2 driven by the motor 4 powered through the power wiring 5 to permit polymerization reaction to proceed. Detections are made on power voltage by the voltage converter 8, power frequency by the frequency converter 9, input power W by the input power converter 10, and input current I by the current converter 11. And the speed N of the motor 4 is detected by the speed converter 12. These detected values are transmitted to the calculator 13 to allow the shaft output to be calculated by use of the equation 1. Thus, the motor shaft output can be estimated on line and in a highly reliable manner.
