Abstract

PURPOSE: To discharge a sample without fail so that the accurate metering operations may be continuously accomplished by reversing a lower electrode, by which the moisture in the sample between the former and an upper electrode is to be metered, after the metering operations.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a liftable upper electrode 48 and a lower electrode 41 by which a sample is clamped and crushed between the former 48 and the latter 41 so that the moisture in the sample may be metered. And, the lower electrode 41 is attached in an inversible manner to the leading end of a movable arm 30 which is made movable back and forth in a horizontal direction between a sample supplying unit a and a metering unit b. The sample received at the unit a is conveyed to a position just below the upper electrode 48 of the unit b, and the crushed sample after the metering operation is discharged after it is inverted.
