Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent discrepancies at divided surfaces upon mounting a track ring into a housing by forming V-shaped grooves axially on a track surface of the track ring and loading to divide the track ring along the V-shaped grooves.
CONSTITUTION: V-shaped grooves 12 are formed axially beforehand on a track surface 11a of a track ring 11 to be divided, then, necessary treatments are effected, thereafter, the track ring 11 is loaded and divided along the grooves 12. In case the track ring 11 is mounted into a housing and steps are generated at the divided surfaces due to an accuracy of the housing lower than that of the track ring, crackings, breaking off, flaking or the like may be prevented and bad affections for vibration, noise and the like may be eliminated, because of the chamfered edges of the track surfaces 11a at divided portions 13 due to formation of the V-shaped grooves. In this case, axial configurations of the V-shaped grooves 12 may be bent lines, for example.
