Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the signal best suited for correction of image density by judging whether the toner cocentration in the developer and the image density having been recorded are within the specified range through the use of comparators or the like. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage obtained from a toner density detector 4e is inputted to a comparator 12 for judging toner concentration. The comparator 12 outputs ''1'' when the toner concentration in the developer is below the upper limit and ''0'' when above the upper limit and applies the same to an AND gate 14. The output voltage of an image density detector 9 inputs to a comparator 17 for judging image density. The comparator 17 outputs ''0'' when the image density is above a desired density and ''1'' when below the same and applies the same to an AND gate 18. The outputs of the AND gates 14, 18 are inputted to an AND gate 19 which then outputs ''1'' when the image density becomes higher than the desired value in case the toner concentration is below the specified value. In this way, the signal best suited for correction of the image density may be obtained.
