Abstract
PURPOSE:To regenerate clock signals definitely by independently detecting the plus and minus sides of a received bipolar signal and then by extracting a clock signal phase from either detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A bipolar signal is inputted to transformer 10 via a transmission line. At the secondary side of transformer 10, signals of the plus and minus sides of the bipolar signal appear. The plus-side signal is compared by 1st voltage comparator 12 and the minus-side signal by 2nd voltage comparator 13, so that signals D and E will appear at outputs of both comparators 12 and 13. Those signals are supplied to OR circuit 16, which outputs a reception unipolar signal to output terminal 17. Further, since output E of 2nd voltage comparator 13 is inputted to clock signal generator 8, a clock signal can definitely be extracted even if a transmitted unipolar signal is in a continuous [1] state.
