Abstract

PURPOSE: A vinyl chloride resin paste containing a specific gelation agent is suspended in a nonsolvent and heat treated to make the suspended particles gelate, thus producing title fine sphere particles with dense surface with a simple device.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) a vinyl chloride resin are added (B) 50W200 parts by wt, per 100 parts of resin A, of a substance that dissolves or swells and make the resin A gelate at elevated temperatures, e.g., a plasticizer of dioctyl phthalate. They are mixed and suspended n a solvent that does not dissolve the paste. The suspension is heated to make the suspended fine particles gelate, cooled and the particles are separated and dried to collect the objective fine sphere particles. The above solvent may previously be heated.
EFFECT: Since no low-boiling solvent is used, units for removing and recovering the gaseous solvent are unnecessary and, said particles are produced with industrial advantage.
