PURPOSE:To accomplish a highly reliable printing with a limited noise while enabling high speed printing with an electric field deflection means electrically provided on a plurality of discharge means fixed firmly on the entire head in such a manner as to be electrically common thereto. CONSTITUTION:Ink in an inkwell is fed to n pieces of discharge means 1 (n is more than 2) through a conduit 2 and with a signal entering a piezo-electric element incorporated in the means 1, liquid drops 6 are discharged from an orifice of the means 1. The liquid drops 6 are charged at a given level with charging rings 3-1- 3-3 as a deflection means provided for discharge means 1-1-1-3 in such a manner as to be electrically common thereto. Then, connected to the common high voltage source, electric field deflection electrodes 4-1-4-3 and 4-1'-4-3' work electrically in common to deflect the flying direction of the liquid drops 6 cyclically in the way vertical to the direction of feeding paper thereby accomplishing a printing on the recording paper 5.
