Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in viewing angle characteristics by forming the liquid crystal layer at the thickness smaller than that of an adhesive layer.
CONSTITUTION: Concave parts 13 are provided to a glass substrate 12 by a suitable means such as etching, mechanical polishing, etc. When an adhesive layer 15 is provided between the glass substrates 12, 14, the adhesive layer 16 thinner than the thickness of the adhesive layer is obtainable. With this constitution, denting of contrast is less and the liquid crystal display device of superior viewing angle characteristics and high quality may be obtained.
