Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate needed damping force, changing the viscous force of a viscous fluid by boring a center hole at the center of a center pole in parallel with the motion direction of a voice coil, enclosing the viscous fluid and altering void length even during positioning work.
CONSTITUTION: A movable rod 5 is vertically fixed to a voice coil mounting surface 9B of a carriage 9A so that the centers of the both sections of a voice coil 8 and the movable rod 5 agree. A center hole 4B is installed at the center of a center pole 4A in parallel with the movement direction of the voice coil 8. A movable rod slider 6 is mounted to an end portion at the side reverse to a fixing end to the carriage 9A of the movable rod 5 while the end portion is provided with a void adjusting mechanism, a radius of the movable rod slider 6 is set by control signals supplied from the outside by means of the void adjusting mechanism and a void 7 between an inner surface of the center hole and an outer circumferential surface with the movable rod slider 6 is controlled in the desired value. A viscous fluid is enclosed in the center hole 4B, and damping force is generated by utilizing the viscous force.
