Abstract

PURPOSE: To flame-retard the title film without degrading its desirable properties, by irradiating the film coated with an ultraviolet-curing coating composition comprising a specific flame-retardent monomer, e.g. a bromostyrene, and a photochemical reaction initiator.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 Parts by wt. of a diene polymer film, e.g. 1, 2-or 1,4-polybutadiene, having a number-average molecular weight of tens of thousands to some ten thousand is coated with (B) an ultraviolet-curing composition comprising 50W80 parts by wt. of at least one flame-retardant monomer selected from (a) a bromostyrene of formula I (R is H or CH3; m is an integer 1W5), (b) a bromophenyl (meth)acrylate of formula X, (c) a brominated bisphenyl A bis(meth) acrylate acrylate of formula III ( n is an integer 1W4), and a photochemical reaction initiator, and irradiated with ultraviolet rays.
