Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the numbers of laminated membrane supports by half and miniaturize an apparatus through a mechanism wherein a blood chamber is formed by plural layers of a membrane support and a pair of membrane segments inserted between the said membrane supports.
CONSTITUTION: By plural layers of a membrane supports 10 which have a membrane supporting area having a conical projection 12 on the central portion thereof and a manifold pore 13W16 communicated with a dialysate outlet and inlet in a peripheral portion thereof and a pair of membrane segments 11 inserted between the said supports, a space is formed and a dialysate distributing element 17a, 17b for introducing and discharging a dialysate into and from a dialysate chamber formed by said membrane segment and said membrane support is clamped on both surface of the membrane support. On the other hand, inorder to introducing and discharging blood into and from a blood chamber formed by said membrane segment, a blood distributing element 18a, 18b is inserted between a pair of said membrane segment 11 so as to form a tunnel like blow passage of a fluid respectively.
