Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the frequency response increasing the flow rate of ink and making the volume of bubbles in the ink cell a fixed value or less, by making the cross-sectional area of the ink cell in the heater part less. CONSTITUTION:A heater 4 that gives heat energy to the ink is provided in the ink cell 2 with an orifice 6 from which drops of ink are jetted. The state of ink is changed by exothermic action of the heater corresponding to a pulse signal to jet a drop of ink. In this case, the ratio of the cross-sectional area SO of orifice to that SH of heat energy operating part is made 1/10-10, preferably 1/4-4.
