Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent defective adhesion at base section, by blowing gas at the stage where the adhesives coated on the base of valve is thermally softened thus spreading the adhesives into the gap between the base and the valve.
CONSTITUTION: Adhesives 2 is coated on inner face of base 1 for fluorescent lamp through cement filler, for example, then the pin 3 of said base 1 is fitted to the adaptor 4. Then the base 1 is fitted to the end face of fluorescent bulb 9, thereafter said base 1 is heated to soften the adhesives 2 while at this stage pressurizing gas is blown in through the injection hole 8, to press the adhesives 2 in the direction of edge of base 1 to burry the cavity and to remove the air from the cavity. Then the pressurizing air is stopped while the heating is continued to discharge the evaporated solvent from the adhesives 2 through gas removal hole 6 thus to harden the adhesives and to adhere the base 1 to the end face of bulb 9. Consequently defective adhesion at the base can be prevented.
