Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the axial length of a transmission gear, by bearing a sleeve shaft of a flywheel with a reduced shaft end of a main drive shaft and also bearing a fluid coupling hub with the external circumference of the sleeve shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A clutch disc 17 is spline-fitted to a main drive shaft 4. A sleeve shaft 20 of a flywheel 19 is supported by a reduced shaft end 15 of the main shaft 4. The sleeve shaft 20 is connected with a turbine 41 and its external circumference supports a rear hub 61 of a fluid coupling 12 through a bearing 62. An impeller 40 is connected with a crunk shadt 9 through an input plate 43. This structure can eliminate a bulkhead for supporting the clutch 11 and fluid coupling 12 between them and compactize the transmission gear with a reduced axial length.
