Abstract

PURPOSE: To omit low-pressure clean-up process and to thereby shorten the time required for starting a thermoelectric power plant, by employing a system in which high-purity condensate is stored in a reservoir tank during ordinary operation of the plant and it is supplied to a deaerator at the time of re-starting the plant after interruption of its operation.
CONSTITUTION: During ordinary operation of the power plant, a portion of condensate in condensate system 36 is carried through superfluous water take-out line 38 and a high-purity condensate take-out line and stored in high-purity condensate reserving tank 41. In case of re-starting the plant after interruption of its operation, supplemental-water pump 52 is set into operation with changeover valve 51 and control valve 53 in supplemental-water system 39 being closed but valve 56 being opened. Resultanly, high-purity condensate in tank 41 is compressed and supplied to the inlet of deaerator 35 via condensate supply line 43. Here, since the high- purity condensate is stored in tank 41 in the manner being shielded from the atmosphere, it can be supplied directly to boiler 31 by means of water supply pump 45, with no need of low-pressure clean-up process for deaerating the condensate in deaerator 35.
