Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out the adsorption treatment of V in the excellent adsorbing capacity by a mechanism wherein V containing waste water is subjected to the reduction treatment and thereafter contacted to a chelate resin having more than one of a specific functional group based on an epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:The V containing waste water is subjected to the reduction treatment by using a generally used reducing agent, for example, Na2SO3, K2SO3 and the like to reduce the valency of V from 5 valences to 2, 3, 4 valences and thereafter filtered according to necessity to remove the floated substance and contacted with the above described chelate resin. This chelate resin is based on an epoxy resin and has more than one of a functional group (for example: iminopropionic acid group) such as amino acid group, imino acid group and the like. This chelate resin is not affected by coexisted salts compared to a conventional ion exchange resin and because has high adsorbing capacity, it has high treating capacity of waste water, excellent durability and is easily regenerated.
