Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit adequate correction of the positioning errors due to errors in the machining size and assembly size by providing a rotational angle detector for detecting rotational angles of an article holder about X and Y axes. CONSTITUTION:When an external force in excess of a certain value determined by spiral springs 26 and 27 is exerted, a holder 22 is rotated about X and Y axes to cause corresponding rotation of shafts 23, 25b and 25a. A rotational angle detector 32 consisting of a code disc 28 and an optical detector 29 and a rotational angle detector 33 consisting of a code disc 30 and an optical detector 31 are provided for detecting the rotational angles of the shafts 23 and 25b, i.e., rotational angles of the holder 22 about X and Y axes. Also, a motor 34 is provided at the stem of the holder 22, and a 35 is moved back and forth within the holder 22 by the motor 34.
