Abstract
PURPOSE: To sufficiently reinforce a synthetic-resin layer which is an external covering layer, by providing a plurality of highly reinforced fiber layers between which insulating pieces are arranged so as to surround the outside of a coil, in a molded coil.
CONSTITUTION: Highly reinforced fibers 3aW3d such as glass tape and the like, whose raw material is glass fiber or carbon fiber, and which surround the outside of a coil 1, are provided in the direction of a radius of the winding. Insulating pieces formed by fiber-reinforced plastic, heat-resistant paper, or the like are arranged between the individual highly reinforced fiber layers 3aW3d, and between the innermost highly reinforced fiber layer and the winding. The highly reinforced fiber layers and insulating pieces are embedded in the synthetic resin layer which convers the outside of the winding. In this constitution, since synthetic resin layer can be sufficiently reinforced and well impregnated, the yield of voids can be prevented and the insulation resistance can be increased.
