Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the receiving sensitivity of an AFC device for a marine rader by controlling the local oscillating frequency or transmission frequency only by introducing an IF reception signal from an IF amplifier to thereby optimize the intermediate frequency band width. CONSTITUTION:An IF reception signal from an IF amplifier 23 is discriminated in frequency through a limitter 31 by frequency discriminators 32, 33. The radar trigger a from a trigger generator 26 is supplied to a sample pulse generator 36 to thereby form a sampling pulse b having wider duration than the transmission pulse f and to apply it to a sample-holding circuit 35. When the oscillating frequency of a transmitter 21 or a local oscillator 28 is displaced from set value, the IF reception signal is accordingly displaced. Thus, the outputs from the discriminators 32, 33 are applied to the circuit 35 and obtained with sample-holding outputs c, which are added and integrated by an integrator 37, which thereupon produces its integrated output d, which is DC amlified via a DC amplifier 38 having a bias setting potentiometer 39 and a bias power supply 40 to thus control the local oscillator 28 by the control voltage e thus obtained.
